Fine mesh is a square or rectangular grid constructed by electrically resistance welding the intersection points of the mesh wires. It has the same structure as welded wire mesh but features a finer mesh specification than welded wire mesh. Generally, it is manufactured using materials such as stainless steel wire, iron wire, and galvanized iron wire. The wire diameter and mesh (opening size) can be selected according to the application. Fine mesh is used in a wide range of industrial fields.
General wire mesh is manufactured by alternately folding vertical and horizontal wires. In contrast, fine mesh is made by arranging vertical and horizontal wires at right angles and welding all intersections by electric resistance. Fine mesh can be produced with a thin wire diameter and a larger mesh than woven wire mesh or crimped wire mesh. Since the intersections of the wires are welded, the mesh is uniform and free from wobbling and distortion.
